During this time of the year, the temptation is greater than ever to eat out-of-bounds as we find ourselves caught in the surge of holiday preparation and activities. While socializing outside of our regular routines, we find ourselves in the midst of comforting foods and tempting drinks that are calorie-loaded. The following recipe suggestions will assist in eliminating several “calorie culprits" without sacrificing a single bit of your holiday indulgence!
Always carry FREE singles when you’re on the go!
FREE is a great addition or substitute in the following beverages and desserts…
à Ask your server to substitute Free for a frozen drink, simply use about 2 cups ice and a couple of strawberries or other dark berries and viola!, you now have a high antioxidant raging berry beverage without the high fructose syrup. (clear rum or vodka optional and remember, always drink responsibly) Remember to take extra singles because living FREE-style is contagious
à Take FREE singles with you when holiday shopping, stop for a snack at your favorite smoothie bar and have them add a FREE single, cut the banana and all sweeteners and select the addition of dark berry fruits only, add a scoop of protein and Free will do the rest
à Create a frozen fruit sorbet and blend in a serving of free to naturally sweeten and boost the berry flavor.
à Mix Free with unsweetened yogurt and garnish with a piece of dark chocolate. Dark chocolate is also rich in antioxidants and is lower in sugar than milk chocolate. Then, just top or mix in fresh berries if you really want to live FREE-style.
